Gareth.

Preview Photos! Karlie Kloss opens. McQueen feathers, baby. This may be more simple than Gareth's past collections, but it is still avant garde and edgy.

Bloodshot lower lid eyeliner and purple highlights!

Powerful Femme

She's ancient. She's Greek. She resides on Mount Olympus and will kill you with her snake if she gets angry. Athena is the Greek Goddess of war, wisdom, powerful virginity (she didn't need to be tied down to a man), and weaving. She is so powerful that the enormous Parthenon was built for her. She often appears in Owl form and with Nike, Goddess of victory. Feared by everyone, she is still powerful and inspirational to me today!

Lindsay Lohan twittered Miley Cyrus to the Emanuel Ungaro show, implies she designed all of the pieces.

lindsaylohan: "@mileycyrus: will you be in Paris this week? would you like to come to the Emanuel Ungaro show for the new collection i've designed love? xo*"

Run Around

Asics' Onitsuka Tiger collection will release sneakers inspired by each zodiac sign. I have never met so many people asking for "my sign" since I moved here. Here is a whole new genre to be concerned about: Japanese zodiac signs are assigned by the year you were born instead of the month.

As I was born in 1987, my sign is a rabbit. Asics released the ridiculous video below:

Here are some pictures of the kicks:

Tumble Upon

My Tumblr seems to be at a good point and I am still very excited about it.
I post a variety of images, all that inspire me in one way or another.
If anyone else has one, let me know so we can follow each other!

It's Almost Here

Impress me, my love.

PS: I still need these earrings.

Viewing Agent Provocateur's newest collection was easily the highlight of my night. A company that has brought Goddess, Witch, Pirate, and Seven Sins collections now brings the futuristic, uber creative "The New World Order" collection. Agent created characters to enhance each complete look. For example, there is Pantheria, a French leopard lace printed set with Diamante buckles here and there. She likes to sit atop high rises at night before going out for a nightly whipping.

Known for their over the top photo shoot sets and posing, these are some of the most dynamically designed images I've seen them produce in a long time.

Time to raid the bank on this collection.

JPG Kids.

I feel lucky that my Mom first sparked my interest in fashion when I was two weeks old by bringing me shopping for the first time. Then, she planted my vintage roots by dressing me in leggings, white cowboy boots, and floral dresses in Kindergarten. Somehow, all of these trends stayed with me. The kids pictured above will have a strong future, as they are lucky enough to wear designs by JEAN PAUL GAULTIER! So fantastic. Work. it. out.

"How do you spell Gabbana?"

The new D&G perfume ad is out and on Youtube. As you may know, the launch is a collection of five different fragrances corresponding to tarot cards. The fragrances are meant to be unisex (but some smell very femme.)
Stephano and Dominico tapped super models Naomi, Claudia, and Eva to front the multi faceted campaign shot by Mario Testino. Testino convinced the models to shoot the ads nude at the last minute. Hey, if I had Claudia working for me I'd do the same...

Another Reason to Visit NY Soon

It has been very recently confirmed that Mark Fast is designing a collab with TopShop. TopShop approached him before his S/S 2010 collection launched, and the design's in the making.

Senior Prank

A New York location of surfer (tween) brand  Hollister received a stink bomb from angry protesters outside. Protesting what? The Hollister fragrance wafting into the streets. Diane von Furstenburg's store is also reeking of their scent, D Eau De Parfum, and is causing coughing and dizziness according to the New York Post.

Happy Birthday, Emily!

Wahoooo! Happy Birthday, darling! I hope you have your best year yet.

Viva Stam

Photographer Mariano Vivanco & Miss Jessica Stam created a revived '60s/Jean Shrimpton mood when they shot the cover of Numero Tokyo October 2009. Stam worked her magic and created a static yet undeniably sultry mood as she pranced and kicked before the camera. The volume in her hair and clean smokey eye completed the '60s effect. Love.

Werq, girl.
I think it is safe to say that Stam is an accomplished model of our generation. Yes?

VS Jumps on The Reality Train

I am a huge fan of the Victoria's Secret Holiday fashion show that airs every year. I love the over-the top couture lingerie ensembles, and of course, THE wings. It would be a dream to be on that creative design team...

(Back to reality!) This year, Victoria's Secret is going reality television show on us and are having a competition to find new talent for their December show. It works like this: audition in one of four select major U.S. cities, go through "Angel Boot Camp", have America vote for you (this always messes everything up), and walk alongside Miranda, Heidi, and the whole crew.

Exciting? Yes! Random? Yes! Perhaps it won't be half as random as the show two years ago when VS hired a million assorted young models to join in for fun.

Maybe we'll see an exciting, inspiring new hopeful come out of this!

Intrigued by Dip-Dyed Leather

S/S Trend by D&G :) I don't know which I like better - the hot short or bodice version.

Hopefully, the knockoffs will be done right and look cute. ;)

It's the irrisistable part sketch, part perfectly rendered, part painted look that I can't take my eyes off of.

French lawmakers are fighting vain complexes with a new bill introduced on airbrushed images. Images without a caption stating its falseness can cost a company half of their ad budget .

A Textile Trip

In my freshman introductory art class in high school, I learned how to create Marble paper. First, you pour in the oily clear liquid, then drop in the background color, and the marble dye colors oh so carefully. The colors sit in circles on top of each other as you grab your big-toothed comb to run through them. You start at the top and drag the comb through the layered oils, creating a stripe or spiral shape. The result is a beautiful, swirly mess. This is what I was reminded of when I viewed Basso & Brooke's Spring 2010 collection. Instead of being messy, their textiles were more graphic but with that long, drippy feel, with a ka-POW of exposed lingerie or bold black and white stripes.

Models' hair was slicked back, out of their face, and straight down their back. Their bodies were lightly coated in oil, appearing as if they slipped on a garment after a beach excursion, or vacation in the Tropics.

Tribal & the dark lip remain here as well.

A Bit Surprised...

By House of Harlow by Nicole Richie! Very affordable, more tribal than biker, and...more tribal. Found at Kitson, Bloomie's, and more.

A Launch Party I Would Die For

Matching Karl Lagerfeld's recent obsession with giant Chanel products in the center of a fashion show, their recent Eau Première perfume launch party was set in a similar theme. Designer Jean-Marc Gady was responsible for the out of the box apartment decorations. He covered the space in No. 5 shaped walkways, and included intense lighting with sensory experiences. The walls were lined with large scale prints of the faces of past No. 5 campaigns. Marilyn and Nicole Kidman? Sounds great!

In this walkway, guests could step up to a glass table with bottom lit glass perfume bottles atop the table. When you move your arm over a sensor on the perfume bottles, a sensor goes off and releases the parfum scent onto your body. Fantastic, right?

A shrine.
