KANSAI YAMAMOTO
Today, I learned about designer Kansai Yamamoto. Hailing from Japan, this designer created the looks for Bowie's Ziggy Stardust & Alladin Sane tours, and he was the first Japanese designer to be sold in United States department stores. Basically, these are the original Gaga pieces. Asian inspired and incredible, his shapes are off the wall and pushed to the creative maximum. In addition, I love his use of vivid colors and textiles. Enjoy a trip back to the late 1970s!
