Ooops.

Lara Stone hits up another major editorial in French Vogue October, and is disturbing critics all over. The issue is themed around Supermodels, but has zero photo shoots with Black models in them. No Naomi, nothing? Instead, Lara is covered in Blackface makeup for fourteen printed pages. Yeah.

Just wondering why this stuff still happens, anyway. I feel like most editions of fashion magazines have a variety of models, mostly from Europe and Russia, but a variety nonetheless. How does a photo shoot of top Supermodels slip through an editor's, photographer's, or stylist's fingers without noticing the lack of color? I would liek to imagine that the Blackface look is paying 'omage to Black models, but somehow it's not convincing me enough. Eh?
